Master’s Program Tuition and Fees Payment Plan Options

Degree: Master of Arts in the Social Sciences with an Emphasis in Ecopsychology and Environmental Humanities

TUITION 2018

Tuition and Fee rates are set annually and based on scheduled start date and continuous enrollment. Program tuition and fee rates will remain the same for duration of the program with continuous enrollment. A separation in enrollment may result in a change in tuition and fee rates.

Year 1 program cost (tuition + fees): $5,700 for three (3) quarters of coursework, including Graduate Research eLibrary fee, and technology fee for cohort starting fall 2018.

ReWilding Experience Fee $500 (ReWilding fall and winter = $1,000). (ReWilding Fees Paid Separately).

Total Year 1: $6,700

Year 2 program cost (tuition & fees): $6,400 for three (3) quarters of coursework, including Graduate Research eLibrary fee, technology fee, and thesis project fee for cohort starting fall 2018.

ReWilding Experience Fee $500 (ReWilding fall = $500). (ReWilding Fees Paid Separately).

Total Year 2: $6,900

TOTAL PROGRAM COST: $13,600

ReWilding Experience courses are from Thursday – Sunday (Thursday arrival – Sunday departures). Lodging is included in ReWilding fee and is based upon shared occupancy (two double beds per room / two students per room). If a student requires a private room, they must make their own room reservation and pay any extra room charge. The ReWilding fee still applies.

Airfare and Meals are not included in the ReWilding fee. Students make their own convenient flight and transportation arrangements for each ReWilding. Meals are student’s responsibility for each ReWilding. The ReWilding take place in National Parks or areas where food is easily available. The ReWilding Fee must be paid in full thirty days (30) before the date of the ReWilding. ReWilding estimated meal cost per day: $45

Students may select a convenient, manageable payment solution offered by the VGI payment plans that allow you to pay tuition in quarterly or monthly installments.

QUARTERLY PAYMENT SCHEDULE

YEAR 1

Tuition & Fees Payment Schedule Year 1 ($5,700). Student agrees to make three (3) payment installments of $1,900 the over the three terms of year one of the master’s program. Payments are due August 1, December 1, and April 1. (This includes Tuition, Graduate Research e-Library fee, and Technology fee).

ReWilding Experience Fee ($500 per ReWilding). Student agrees to make ReWilding fee payment of $500 thirty days (30) before each ReWilding start date for fall and winter.   (ReWilding Fees Paid Separately). 

Tuition & Fees Payment Schedule Year 2 ($6,400). Student agrees to make one (1) payment installment of $2,134 and two (2) payment installmenst of $2133 over the three terms of year two of the master’s program. Payments are due August 1, December 1, and April 1. (This includes Tuition and Technology fee).YEAR 2

ReWilding Experience Fee ($500 per ReWilding). Student agrees to make ReWilding fee payment of $500 thirty days (30) before each ReWilding start date for fall.   (ReWilding Fees Paid Separately).

MONTHLY PAYMENT SCHEDULE

YEAR 1

Monthly Tuition & Fees Payment Schedule Year 1 ($5,700). Student agrees to make eight (8) monthly payment installments of $712.50 beginning August 1st of program start date and monthly installments thereafter over the first term of year one of the master’s program. Payments are due the first of each month. (This includes Tuition, Graduate Research e-Library fee, and Technology fee).

ReWilding Experience Fee ($500 per ReWilding). Student agrees to make ReWilding fee payment of $500 thirty days (30) before each ReWilding start date for fall and spring.   (ReWilding Fees Paid Separately). 

YEAR 2

Monthly Tuition & Fees Payment Schedule Year 2 ($6,400). Student agrees to make eight (8) monthly payment installments of $800 beginning August 1st of year two program start date and monthly installments thereafter over the second term of year one of the doctoral program.  Payments are due the first of each month. This includes Tuition, Graduate Research e-Library fee, Technology fee, and Thesis Project fee).

ReWilding Experience Fee ($500 per ReWilding). Student agrees to make ReWilding fee payment of $500 thirty days (30) before each ReWilding start date for fall and spring.   (ReWilding Fees Paid Separately).

Tax Deductible Educational Expense

While a personal accountant or Certified Public Accountant can best advise students regarding tax deductions, it is important to remember that the United States Code of Federal Regulations, Title 26, Section 1.162-5, Expenses for Education allows for personal income tax deduction of educational expenses including tuition, cost of travel, meals and lodging, etc., so long as they: 1) Maintain or improve skills required by the individual in his employment or other trade or business, or 2) Meet the express requirements of the individual’s employer, or the requirements of applicable law or regulations, imposed as a condition to the retention by the individual of an established employment relationship, status, or rate of compensation.
